2008 IFTA ANNUAL ORCHARD SHORT TOUR TO SOUTH CAROLINA AND NORTH CAROLINA

22-25 June 2008

PART I: PEACHES

Opening Session (Sunday evening) and Day 1 (Monday) technical tours featuring commercial peach orchards and pack houses along with current research presentations
Day 2 (Tuesday) technical tour for direct marketing in morning
Sunday and Monday nights - sleeping accommodations in Greenville, NC

PART II: APPLES

Day 2 (Tuesday) technical tour for commercial apple production and sliced apples in the afternoon.
Day 3 (Wednesday) technical research tour at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station in the morning. This will be followed by lunch at the Biltmore Mansion estates and special horticultural tour.
Tuesday night - sleeping accommodations in Asheville, NC
Wednesday evening - bus will return to Greenville, SC approximately 6:00pm
