We are excited to bring you a top notch program featuring leaders in the Fruit Tree Industry and informative orchard tour.  Registration is $875 per person. Membership is required for all attendees (membership year is December 1 to November 30.)

IFTA Proposed By-Law Changes - 2020

IFTA Board of Directors have reviewed the IFTA By-laws and after thorough review are proposing that the By-laws be updated to better reflect the actions and activities of the IFTA Board and the Association.

The By-law changes will be presented to membership at the IFTA Annual Business Meeting at the 63rd Annual Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Monday, February 10, 2020 for approval.

IFTA in ITALY - November 13-22, 2020

IFTA is headed to Northern Italy for an educational Study Tour November 13—22, 2020. The 9-night tour features 3-nights in Bologna, 2-nights in Venice-Mestre, 3-nights in Bolzano, and 1 night at an airport hotel (your choice: Venice, Bologna or Milan).


  • Attend two world-class trade shows: EIMA in Bologna and Interpoma in Bolzano
  • Visit orchards in Ferrara, Vicenza and Trento
  • Fun sightseeing and terrific Italian cuisine throughout

The tour is priced at $2,700 per traveler for double occupancy or $3,500 per person for single occupancy. Registration will open February 24, 2020.

Research Foundation
The IFTA Research Foundation provides grant money for research projects. Current projects include work on Apple Rootstock; Sweet Cherry Production Physiology, Orchard Technologies and Efficiencies; High-Density Planting Systems and more. As the Foundation continues to build the permanent endowment, returns from that investment will be able to fund future research projects.
